Outdoor Centre Director
With over 20 years of experience, Rianne has been a long-time camper and veteran staff member at Camp and currently oversees all aspects of The Camp Wenonah Centre for Outdoor Education. Rianne has previously worked as an Associate Director with Camp Summit in Squamish, British Columbia. While out west, Rianne sat as Secretary of the Board for the British Columbia Camps Association and remains an active leader within the camping industry. She currently sits on the Ontario Camps Association Outdoor Education Committee and has completed the International Camp Directors Training course facilitated by the International Camping Fellowship. Rianne completed her degree in Global Studies, with a minor in Gender Studies from Wilfrid Laurier University and is a past recipient of the Schaefer Scholarship, which acknowledges outstanding contributions to life and learning at Camp Wenonah.
Senior Director - Logistics
Mike brings over 30 years of camp experience, including 15 years as a Director and Manager in the camping industry, with him as he returns to Wenonah in a new role. Stewy, as he is known at Camp, previously worked with the Department of Athletics & Recreation at Ryerson University in Toronto, where he led Ryerson Summer Day Camps over six years of significant growth and development. Prior to that, Stewy was Program Manager with Amici Camping Charity, an organization that helps send underprivileged children to Ontario summer camps. For six years, in the 2000s, he was a Co-Director at Wenonah, providing leadership to both Summer Camp and the Outdoor Education Centre. Stewy is a graduate of the University of Toronto (Bachelor of Education) and Trent University (Bachelor of Arts). He sits on the Executive of the Board of the Canadian Camping Association (CCA) serving as National Communications Chair, and is a former Director on the Board of the Ontario Camps Association (OCA). He is a co-chair of the OCA Annual Conference, and sat on the organizing committee of the U Sports Women’s Basketball Championship held in Toronto in 2019. In recognition of his volunteer work and professional experience in the field of children’s camping, he has received the Jack Pearse Award of Honour from the Canadian Camping Association, the Ron & Mickey Johnstone Youth Leadership Award (OCA), Volunteer Recognition Award (CCA), and Award of Merit (International Camping Fellowship). Stewy and his wife Gemma divide their time between their home in Toronto and their cottage near Wenonah.
Fraser "Tito" McOuat
Director of Operations
Camp has been part of Fraser’s life since 1999. He currently serves as Director of Operations, and has overall responsibilities for all capital development. Previously, he was Director of The Camp Wenonah Centre for Outdoor Education. “Tito” is a veteran Wenonah staff member, having held several previous roles including Assistant Director, WCIT Director, POLARIS Director, Property Director, and Counsellor. He has five years’ experience working with the Outdoor Education Centre program. Tito attended Camp for many summers as a camper, and successfully completed the POLARIS and WCIT leadership program. Fraser is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where he studied English. He completed the International Camp Directors Course and attended the International Camping Congress in October 2014. Tito is an avid fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, and enjoys golf and spending time with friends and family when not at Camp.
